ROY BRILEY
Owner & Founder
Roy is the proud father of nine children and nine grandchildren, all born and raised in Alaska. His adult children now call Alaska, Colorado, and Arizona home, though Alaska remains the family’s heart and base.
Roy completed his first real estate investments shortly after graduating high school in 1973, when he purchased two single-family homes in the Spokane Valley. Just two years later, at age 19, he moved to Alaska and began investing locally by owner-occupying duplexes and fourplexes. Today, he still owns and manages rental properties and takes great pride in helping others build their own investment portfolios. Roy remains active in all aspects of his businesses and continues to assist buyers and sellers in finding the right properties—whether it’s a condo, single-family home, multifamily building, or commercial property.
Roy’s professional journey began humbly as a night janitor at Sunrise Bakery (now Wonder Hostess Bakery) in 1975. Over the next 11 years, he rose steadily through the ranks, ultimately becoming General Manager of statewide operations in 1986 at the age of 30—a position he held for a decade.
In 1996, Roy left Wonder Hostess to start his own large wholesale production bakery, Alaska Pride Bakery, which operated successfully until it was sold back to Wonder Bread in February 2000.
That same year, at age 44, Roy embarked on a new chapter in real estate, where he discovered his lifelong passion. Today, he continues to own and operate several thriving ventures, including a real estate brokerage, general contracting company, association management firm, and mortgage brokerage. He has sold over 3,000 homes in his career.
Anchorage remains home for Roy and his family, and although he jokes that he’ll “never fully retire,” he looks forward to enjoying many warm-weather vacations in the winters ahead—while always remaining an Alaskan at heart.
My Story

Roy is the proud father of eight children and nine grandchildren all born and raised in Alaska. The adult children live in Alaska, Colorado, and Arizona.
Roy completed his first two real estate investments when he purchased two single-family homes in the Spokane Valley, shortly after graduating from high school in 1973. Two years later, at the age of 19, he moved to Alaska and began investing in Alaska Real Estate by owner-occupying duplexes and fourplexes. Today, Roy still owns rental properties and enjoys helping others build their investment portfolios. Roy is still very active in all of his businesses’ activities and continues to help buyers and sellers find the right property for their needs. Roy sells condos, homes, and duplexes to fourplexes, apartment buildings, warehouses, commercial buildings, and leases.
Roy’s work history began as a night janitor at Sunrise Bakery (now known as Wonder Hostess Bakery) in 1975 at the age of 19. Roy worked his way through bakery advancements for 11 years until becoming the general manager of all statewide operations in 1986 at age 30. Roy held the position of General Manager for 10 years until 1996.
Roy then left Wonder/Hostess and started his own large wholesale production bakery, Alaska Pride Bakery. Alaska Pride Bakery was in operation from 1996 to 2000 before it was sold to Wonder Bread in February of 2000.
In 2000, at the age of 44, Roy began his real estate career and has loved every minute of the experience. He also owns and runs a real estate brokerage, general contracting business, Condo Association, and mortgage brokerage. To this day, his family still calls Anchorage home. Roy expects never fully to retire and to remain an Alaskan forever. (with a lot of vacations to warmer locations in the winter!)
